What is the objective?

Why should the factory ensure the safety of all electrical equipment? The facility should protect the workers, premises

and goods against electrical hazards such as fire / or electrocution / or electrical shock to avoid the risk of accidents

related to electrical equipment. The factory should have identified this risk in the risk assessment.

The factory should implement a system to systematically:

 Identify the electrical equipment in the factory and all the electrical risks related to these equipment;

 Create procedures and policies about electrical safety;

 Provide preventive and protective measures;

 Train workers on electrical safety;

 Conduct regular inspections of the electrical equipment (internally and externally).
